NICIS and electronic customs
The Nigeria Integrated Customs Information System (NICIS) is the backbone of electronic customs processing, supporting declarations, risk management, and revenue accounting.
What stakeholders should know
- Traders, agents, and self-clearing importers work through the approved interfaces to lodge declarations, attach documents, and track status on NICIS II where rolled out in their area.
- User registration, digital certificates, and training are made available as the Service extends digital services; follow official NCS and Single Window updates.
- Data entered must be accurate. False declarations or misuse of accounts may lead to enforcement action.
